Senior Yorkie Talker | jealosy???????? I've had Bella for about three to four years now she did have a litter and i was planing on keeping one of her pups ,but my cousin really wanted a fur baby so i gave her the pup , and now i want another play mate for Bella. she has been fixed since then so she can't have any baby's. My question is that she is very possessive of me she is with me 24/7 and all of my family members tell me she will be very jealous if i get another Yorkie, has anyone ever gone through this? If so what happened?

YT 500 Club Member | I had my boy Maltese for a year before I got my little Yorkie girl. And YES he was jealous. So I mad it my point to show him the same attention and a lil extra until he got adjusted. Now they LOVE each other. But the jealousy don't go away 100%. If I hold one the other jumps I'm my lap too. I just shower them with my love. I think once they realize the other pup isn't going anywhere, they will adjust. |

| Seeing how she reacts around other dogs will be an indication. How is she when another dog visits your home? Some dogs are very sociable and enjoy a playmate, but others are more happy to be an only dog. There are many other things to consider too in getting a second dog. It gets a little harder to take 2 with you, yet it seems easier to leave them home when they have company and are not alone. Of course cost of vets, grooming, food and monthly flea and heartworm prevention doubles too, so be prepared for that.
