| Socialization I recall reading somewhere that puppies go thru shy stages. My little girl has always just craved attention from everyone - rushing toward them on beach walks to be acknowledged and petted (on leash and with mom right behind of course). Now at 7 months, she seems to be more reserved, even shy. No bad experiences however, and she warms up to folks quickly, but just not the one to initialize contact. Is this just a phase, or is she just learning to be more careful and cautious? She's still very happy and playful. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | She is right on track to the second "shy" stage that happens about 7-8 mths of age. I would not worry about her response so far seems normal. I think it is good to encourage her not to rush up to folks, as you know many do not like dogs at all no matter what size they are.
