| Tea Cup Yorkie with intermittent Breathing issue any advice? My 3yr old 2.75pnd yorkie has occasionally had spurts of what sounds like a stuffy nose. However, this morning I saw this behavior alittle more intense. She seemed liked she was experiencing discomfort and began to wheez alittle. I began to monitor her and since it has gone away...she is eating normally and now she is just laying on my lap. I am still startled and unsure what this means? I mentioned to the Vet in the past that she did this from time to time but they stated that her lungs sounded normal and that was normal for tiny dogs like her. Any one else experience something like this with their yorkie? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would be worrying about allergies - the pollens right now are awful. Does it only happen certain times of the year? Also, do you know what reverse sneezing is, and do you think it could be that instead? Check out these videos to see/listen: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...d-trachea.html

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. If you can, try to catch the episodes on video for your vet to see. There are a number of possible explanations. Watch these videos to see if any of these problems are what your little girl is experiencing: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...d-trachea.html Wylie's Mom, Ann, one of the moderators here, one of her little boys, Marcel, got something stuck up his nose and had symptoms similar to what you are describing. Any chance she got something up her nose? You can read Ann's thread here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...-question.html

| Allergies I don't recall seeing this specifically during allergy season so I am unsure if it's related. I will continue to monitor her to see if I see it getting worse. |
