| My Barney is the same way. He has a tall, thin build. Like your Max, his features are all pretty tiny. But he finally grew into his legs and I love his look. He can run and jump like a little deer. He is almost 12 inches tall. He weighs around 5.5- 6 pounds depending on the time of day. I am wanting to buy a little basketball goal and teach him how to put the ball through the hoop. With that height, he'd be awesome ! I look forward to seeing pictures of Max.

YT 2000 Club Member | Are you measuring shoulder to floor? I have 3 yorkies and the shortest is 6 in. And the other 2 are 8 in. They are all full grown.

| Barney is 1.5 years. I can understand your concern about the unusual height. I was worried Barney would be a little freak. He kind of is, but it's adorable. Now that he's grown, I can't believe I worried so much about it when he was younger. Here's a photo from when he was around 5 months. He was not much shorter then than he is now. He's with Anna who is around 7 inches tall. You can see the difference in the builds easily because they are wet. She is much stockier.

| My Dad raised coon dogs all my kid life. Plotts that he owned was about their height around 6 mos and completely grown height at one year. They are big dogs. To me a yorkie should have height at 6 mos. I read an article on web that they mature out at 10 mos They grow faster due to size as they are so small. Jmo |

| My Maxwell seems to be tall, which concerned me because we did not see his parents. I believe the standard is 9 in. at shoulders and he's is; however he sems taller than other yorkies in our family. Love him as he is! |
