| Scared of the door Today when I was taking Lexi out to potty in the front yard my son was coming out because we were getting ready to leave to go to the store. I was in the process of coming back in and Lexi ran to the door at the same time my son was closing it. She got her little paw stuck under the door as she was trying to run back out. I think it scared her more than hurt her, but know when I take her out to potty she will not go back inside unless I carry her. She will stop a good 5-10 feet from the door and just look at me. I was wondering if anyone has any advise to get to comfortable going through the door on her own again, or do you think it was just take some time on her part. I feel so bad and so does my son. I don't want her to be scared of doors all her life because of this one incident. Thanks! |

| what I would do is use a treat to ease her through the door way in and out a few times to help her recognize the door will not hurt her......hopefully once she responds and feels safe again she will forget it happened.
