| My dog is a scavenger! I don't know what to, koda is a little scavenger! He just wanders around the house looking for things to eat! I can't follow him around the whole day and I'm worried he will eat something he shouldn't! Any recommendations on how to stop him from doing that? Other than that, koda is doing so well!! He's bell trained and loves to play fetch! I'm one proud mom!

| You need to limit his access to only where you are able to watch him. Having a puppy is the same as having a baby. They just cannot be left out of your sight ever! There are way too many things that could harm or even kill a curious puppy if left unattended and out of sight.

| you have to baby proof your house, as if you have a toddler. My last girl even as an adult was like that, chap sticks, cig. lighters, paper clips. Outside walks were the same thing, like a 2 y/o, everything went in her mouth. as megansmomma said, limit her space when unattended, make sure that space is baby proof. And remember, what ever drops on the floor it's his, what what he can reach, it's his.

| Welcome to YT. In addition to what has been said above, you also have to teach him "drop it". Koda is adorable.

| Used a high reward treat and exchange it for the item he needs to drop. Then work down to no treat and just the drop it command.

| I agree with the others and confine his access to that part of the house which you puppy-proof several times a day just as you do with a baby. And training your dog to drop it using the old switch out method - will help him learn to drop dangerous things you see him eat before he swallows them. I worked on that command very early on with every dog I've ever had. This training has saved more than one dog a trip to the vet. But it won't work for those you don't see him eat so only frequent baby-proofing and confining him to just that safe space will keep him safe. Besides eating dangerous things, dogs free to wander about chew electrical cords, bedspread edges, furniture and anything they can get to when they are young, bored or teething. PS: Koda is a true cutie-patootie and such a darling face!!!

| What a cutie. I don't have anything to add to what the others have said, just wanted to say he is adorable. |
