YT 1000 Club Member | Not Really Sure If I Should Add Another But I Want To !!!! Long time no post lol but of course I have the puppy blues . Rasta is a few weeks shy of 1 year and Roxie his bulldog older sis who also has the same bday as him (how cool is that???) is almost 2. My breeder is breeding Rasta's mother again and also another female she has in the upcoming months. My issue is although I would love to add another to our family I'm not sure how Rasta would take it. Roxie loves other animals and people...Rasta dislikes them. I tried socializing but he just becomes indifferent to visitors whether they have skin or fur. In fact the only other dog he'll play with is his "big sis", Roxie. He's extremely jealous if I (not my husband or son) pays any type of attention to someone outside of our home (I learned this the hard way when watching my neighbors 8 month old human baby...Rasta had to be crated upstairs). Should I just call it quits and admire the cuties on YT? Or get a puppy and slowly introduce them and pray for the best? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I honestly think with patience and care that eventually things would settle into place if you got a new puppy. It may take time and there may be some uphill battles - but I think it'd likely work out okay. So there...I'll enable you get another !

| I think a puppy who is in your home to stay is different than a visitor or meeting other dogs outside. Since Rasta gets along well with Roxie, that is an indication that Rasta does not have a serious problem with other dogs in general. Max was an only pup until he was a little over a year old. When we brought home his brother, we had a few jealousy issues to iron out, but they got along very well from the start.
