| Morel season. Just a heads up for central Illinoisans that this is morel season. I was walking Bella in her stroller at the back of the yard and picked about a dozen. Bella was very patient, waiting for me as I ducked into the underbrush in search of the delectable fungi, LOL! |

| Funny, I have never heard of them, and had to Google to find out what they were. I saw in an article that most pickers will not share or sell theirs, but some do at up to $20/lb. How will you enjoy yours?

| I love morels! I'm from southern WV and we call them Molly moochers. My cousin posted pictures on FB the other day, he and his wife have collected 2300 of them. They don't sell them, but they share with everyone. Sure wish I was there to have some.

| Your cousin is very generous, because they are like gold! Maybe he can freeze some and send them to you? |

| Ohhh I love morels. We batter and fry them. My husband found 6 a few weeks ago. We were in hog heaven.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Whew! OK, firstly I'm *very* jealous that you can actually *pick* morels Secondly, I'm very glad this is not yet another post about something massively toxic to Yorkies that of course I should have known about (it can be hard to be a newbie owner) Thirdly, I'm still jealous! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I loooove sauteed mushrooms - SO good! I sometimes eat them as a meal by themselves.
