| My Coco! Hello there! I have a question that I've been wondering about for so long. My boyfriend bought Coco for me almost two years ago. She is a sweet dog! Every time my boyfriend pulls up, coco starts barking immediately! She gets excited and can sense him as soon as he pulls up in his car. She never does that when i pull up only to him. Does anyone know why this may be?? |

| She has probably bonded more with him. Just a guess though. Welcome to YT! Hope to see some pics soon of your little one.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk! There are many possible explanations. Does your boyfriend live with you? If not, maybe she is just trying to help alert you that he has arrived, plus there is the novelty of someone she doesn't live with. If he does live with you, does he have a more regular schedule of coming and going than you do? Yorkies are really good at telling time and distinguishing car noises. My boys are equally bonded to me and their grandpa who lives with us, but they bark more and are more animated when dad comes home than when I do.

| Yes he lives with me. She always alerts me even at 2 a.m. she barks. They have a great bond and she did meet him first, but our bond is even greater. She stays by my side at all times. I thought it was so weird the way she barks when he's not even in the gate. |

Sounds like you have a very smart girl with keen ears who can tell when he is near.
