| Newbie Question about Vitamins Hi I am brand new here. It is lovely to find others who are as wild about their Yorkies as I am about mine. Question Can you advise me about the best vitamin for my little girl? Is it Nuvet? Thanks for any advise you can give me. |

| Hi welcome to YorkieTalk! How old is she and what food are you feeding her? I've read here in the forum that if you feed your dog a high quality food, they do not need vitamins as they already get the necessary nutrients from the food.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and WELCOME to YT! As long as you're feeding a good quality dog food, she should be getting all the nutrients she needs. What are you feeding?

| Newbie question about vitamins Buttons is 1 1/2 years old. I have her on a high protein diet of human food. Boiled chicken, steak, liver, fish, broccoli, green beans, baked potatoe, oatmeal with a little peanut butter etc. She does get dog cookies. I could not get her to eat dog food. I tried everything. She was literally wasting away on dog food. |

| Dogs & Cats, if fed an unbalanced diet, can get major health problems. Unlike people, pets will be harmed faster by eating an unbalanced diet. There are vitamins & minerals you can add to the home cooked food. Please consult w/your vet or a vet nutritionist. You can find them online or @ a vet school. Like Lovetodream88 posted, balanceIT is a highly recommended site, you can also generate free recipes for a healthy dog.
