| The first night I brought Leroy home, I placed him in his crate and he cried, howled, spilled his water and got all wet. I went opened the gate to the crate, let him out and dried him up. Until I knew Leroy would not fall off my bed, he slept in a carrier that was placed on top of my bed next to me. He was quiet and sleep through most of the night and just woke me up to go to potty. Then, when I knew that he wasn't going to fall, I let him sleep with me without his carrier. Mia used to sleep with me but it's been months since she decided she preferred to sleep in the living room.

| My Bella would not sleep with me and my husband. If one of us went to bed first she would sleep with us til the other one came to bed. As soon as the other got into bed she would jump down and crawl under the bed to sleep! Funniest thing, didn't matter how quietly you tried to sneak in! Our Guinness on the other hand loves to sleep right tight to us. He will sleep all night and stay in bed when we get up in the morning. He gets up when he is ready, sometimes it's 12 hours. :-)

| Calleigh stayed in my bed after the first night. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very much. I had a leash on her so she wouldn't fall from the bed. She never went potty on the bed. I did have a wee wee pad on top of the covers, but she never used it. Have fun with your new baby.

| Mina was in a childs spack and play the first night with me on the couch, after listening to her be pitiful for an entire night she has been in our bed every night sense. Kenzie has always been in our bed,we were in the RV when we picked her up. Tilly has always been in our bed. DH says if he had given in to having puppys sooner we would of had half as many children, |

| DeeDee slept with us from the first night. She was an adult but not pottie trained. She never had an accident in bed, though. Taz, who came to live with us the same day as DeeDee but was still a puppy, slept in his crate or the laundry room until he was pottie trained, due to a couple of "accidents" he had! Both sleep with us now.

| Both of my pups sleep with us at night and they have since the first night they came home. I sometimes wish we'd put them in a crate because they take up so much room!

Looks like Max is the only one who didn't sleep in the bed from the start. He insisted on going into his pen at night and he had to have the door shut and latched.

| Two of my 3 sleep in our bed. The who doesn't is almost 3 pounds and she is just to little. She sleeps in her playpen at night with her bed and potty pad if needed.

| Darla is 7 weeks and right now as I type this she is curled up in bed next to me sleeping like, well a baby of course......She sleeps between hubby and I so she cant fall off. we're both pretty self aware when we sleep so we never had problems with our son sleeping in the bed when he was a newborn and we haven't ever been worried about Darla either. I typically get up to go to the ladies room at least once in the night so I take little Miss Darla out to pee at that time too then she plays for a bit to get her tired and then one more bathroom break the back to bed to cuddle the rest of the hours of sleep away. I love having my baby near me. |

| Nope. None of the 4 sleep with us, unless we go to the deer lease. Right now they have a large gated off area with their cages in it, and several beds and they all sleep there, claiming whichever bed or cage they choose. When we go to the deer lease, they do sleep with us, but only because the travel trailer has no area to gate them in and I don't want to have to carry all their crates. When Allie was pregnant, she slept with us at the end of the pregnancy. She refused to sleep in her whelping box,(in our master bath) and would pace all night-you could hear her nails click, click, clicking on the hardwood floors, so I would pick her up and put her in bed and she would snuggle up between us.

| Jackson has basically been in my bed from the beginning. He started out in a crate, but he was a whiner, so I'd end up putting the soft crate ON my bed w/ me,LOL... soon enough he was in my bed...

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Crystal normally stays with me until the early hours as I read or watch TV late. When I go to bed she trips off to finish the night with mom in her room. Presently Irina's away for a month and she sleeps all night in the bed tucked up close to me. So close, that if I'm not careful I end up on the floor! She also enjoys jumping straight into my spot if I get up and gets quite grumpy about being moved over. She was 5 months when we all got together and has slept like this from night one. We've never had any accidents. I think its a throw back from when they were vermin hunters living a peripatetic lifestyle with their owner/handlers across the Industrial North of England maybe? |
