| Your Yorkies Comfy Spot I got my little girl with the fact that lap dogs like to cuddle in your lap in mind. However, Darla's more of a neck dog than a lap dog. Maybe it's my hair, I have long hair and from what I've read adult Yorkie's hair is much like human hair so I was thinking my hair might feel like her four legged momma did and she finds comfort in that. Does anyone elses's Yorkie like to cuddle against your neck on the back of the couch? If not, where is your Yorkie's favorite comfort spot. From what I read, because of the Yorkie's small size they tend to tire out more and sleep more than the average dog. That might be true or not for your Yorkie but even with my Shih Tzu they all had their favorite lounging spots through the day. So where can your Yorkie always be found? Pictures are more than welcome. |

| Teddy and Max like laps and their Cloud Nine beds at my feet. Reading this forum, I think many Yorkies, especially smaller ones, are part parrot. There seems to be a lot who like to perch on shoulders and necks.

| Both Presley then and now Ripley both park themselves on top of my chest. Must be the cushions...

| Snickers likes to curl around my neck with her head hanging down. I love it. It is comforting to just turn a little and her head be right next to mine. I thought she was the only one fond of this position. She only does this with me. |

| lol, cracks me up. I have average sized cushions so I bought a VS bombshell bra and that thing literally might as well have cushions and not just pads built into it. I joked about it being my pillow bra with my husband. |

| I have to turn my head far to be able to see Darla's darling face and when I do she kisses the tip of my nose. She's such a sweetie. When she gets older and longer it should make turning my head to see her a lot easier. |

| My first Yorkie, a tiny 3 lb. dog when grown, always loved to stretch his tummy across the front of my neck when I was lying down and he would even sleep that way if I were still long enough. It was like a Yorkie hug and so sweet. My Tibbe's favorite place in the world to be - and one he is always working to get to - is right beside me on the front section of the big pillow I lean against or lie down on when sitting/lying on the couch in the den watching TV or working on the computer. He ever lives to get to that spot, even in warm weather when his presence there is pretty over-warm as it's such a tight fit and if I'm lying down on my side, his fuzzy butt is right in my face but however I'm lying or sitting, a part of one of us is always on the other one due to the tiny space involved so it's really not always that comfortable for me. He is ALWAYS angling to get in his "spot" and will stand on the floor or on the other end of the couch and growl and bark at me, looking from that spot to my eyes repeatedly, his eyes going back and forth as if he's watching a tennis game, to get me to move over enough so he has room to fit there. He's been obsessed with his "spot" ever since I first brought him home. Every time he makes it successfully to his "spot", he lets out the biggest sigh and proceeds to totally relax, watch TV and eventually nap and snore. When I touch or rub his back, somehow in that tight space, he manages to quickly flip over to expose his belly for rubs and scratches!!! It's pretty hard for me to move around when he's there - and I rarely lie completely still for very long, even when I'm totally asleep, it's hot in warm weather and I can't move without my left shoulder and arm unsettling his position so I usually am not that excited about his lying there nearly as much as he wants to and the more I seem to resist, the more he insists!!! This back and forth between the two of us goes on all day and evening if I'm having a lazy day and just lying around a lot. He sees his comfy spot as the prime piece of real estate in his world and one he believes he has an absolute right to. I swear Tibbe would spend 95% of his down-time right there on that pillow if I would let him. Very often when I get up from the couch, he will run and get on his "spot". I've never had a dog so totally obsessed with a comfy spot as this one is his place on the couch pillow! Needless to say, he's so cute about his constant insistence on his comfy spot, he gets to spend most of his down time there and hot, cramped with body parts overlapping, staring at his little bottom in my face/up against my cheek if I'm lying down, uncomfortable and stiff from staying still far too long, I'm still always privileged to share his beloved comfy space with my little love bug!!! ♥♥♥
