| Which is safer Animal Matters or Snoozer Lookout I just got a new puppy 4 1/2 weeks ago. I have researched and purchased an Animal Matters Companion car seat and a Snoozer Lookout 1 car seat. I can't decide which one I feel is safer and will hold my puppy in place if I were to get in an accident? Can't decide which tether system is better. I got the animal matters because I liked how the seatbelt wrapped around the car seat. But I am unsure of the tether that you attach to your dog's harness. I figured out the tether goes through the back and is all one piece that clips together in the back and is also the part you use to secure to seatbelt shoulder strap. IN an accident will that tether stay clipped together? Snoozer you thread seatbelt through the tether loop.? and then take lap belt part of seat belt and strap across the top of the back part? I would love opinions on which people feel is safer and other's experiences ? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and WELCOME to YT. Congrats on your new puppy, and good job on getting him/her used to a snoozer seat right away. I haven't compared the 2 -- but here's a question...does one require it to be in the back seat and one the front...does it matter? If yes, do you have a preference as to whether they're in front or back?

Snoozer seems like might be more stable because it is a tether that has a loop that you thread seatbelt through .. in an accident seatbelt will hold better through a tether loop don't you think? Then I just found this link: |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I have the snoozer and I love it. I personally like the snoozer better for the way it is secured in the car. I like that it holds it down. The other is only secured on the front bottom. And the dogs are attached to the back. If you stop short the back might move up and the whole seat might hit the dash or seat in front of them. That is just my opinion
