Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If her papers say "mix", then I'd assume she was mixed with another breed...did the breeder not tell you she was a mix?

| Do you mean that the vet's paperwork identified her as a Yorkie mix or that the papers you received from the breeder said she was a mix? If it was on your vet's paperwork, I would just ignore it. Someone, maybe the vet tech or someone at the front desk that enters all that kind of info into your pup's records probably saw the floppy ears and assumed that because the ears weren't standing that she was mixed with something. They assumed something that wasn't correct. I have two Yorkies that don't have standing ears. One has ears that are completely flopped and the other has ears that stand halfway with the tips flopped. Your girl looks all Yorkie to me, welcome to Yorkie Talk. BTW, when your new expect it to take a while for your posts to show up. They have to be approved by a mod before they show up. This is done to weed out spammers. After you have made several posts, they will no longer have to be approved and they will show up instantly.

| So someone at the vet's office made a mistake. At 8 months, I don't think there is anything you can do now to encourage them to stand. Maybe someone else knows of something that can be done, but IMO it is too late. She is precious just like she is!

| Welcome to YT, your baby sure is cute and looks like a yorkie to me, but that's not saying she isn't mixed with another breed.

| Welcome! She's a cutie and she looks all Yorkie to me. I have a now 14 year old Yorkie and his ears were floppy until he was about 4 or 5 years old and then they just stood up and have been up ever since. If you want them to stand, try keeping the hair trimmed short on them and that might help them stand. Personally, I think they're cute floppy. |

| She sure is a cutie and looks yorkie to me. Try shaving the hair on her ears. With a lot of hair, it weighs the ears down.
