| Guess that it is our turn It seems that over the last month,4 of our 5 dogs has had tummy issues. These have ranged from loose stool to a pancreatic attack. So far I have invested a bit over $1000 and 4 visits to the vet. It has occurred to me that it is their food. They have all been eating BlueBuffalo Basic Kibble. Each meal, each pup has also received 2T of Blue Buffalo Grain free or Blue Buffalo Stew wet food. This is always mixed with rice or pasta before they get it. Dogs are fed twice a day am/pm ,one small Blue Buffalo cookie yoguart and fruit only, cheerios or fresh veges as a snack. I'm thinking that it is the wet food and am going back to cooking. However if they continue to have problems I will be switching kibble. Skittles is a 12yrs old poodle,he had the attack with his pancreas. He has always had a sensitive tummy. Mina is 3 she is a yorkie, picky eater and a diva. Amigo is a 7yr old chi. He NEVER gets sick and this is where I started putting it all together. Kenzie is a 10 month biewer. She is beyond the word sturdy, topping the scales at 10lbs so far and can eat anything. Today was her turn. Bless her heart she made sure that she made it outside. Thankfully everyone is hydrated, and they are all still happy to eat. HELP! Suggestions?? Different kibble suggestions, favorite recipes for cooking. Write them here. Let me just say that 4 dogs throwing up or having very loose stools is just not fun. I haven't lost my mind yet ,but I am loosing a braincell here and there. |

| Sorry your babies are having digestive problems. Is there a reason you feed them grain free kibble and add fresh foods & cheerios that are grains? When it comes to digestive problems, I would keep the diet very simple. Cut out all of the snacks. See how they do eating just the kibble, then introduce one item at a time. Teddy is sensitive to many foods, so I keep his diet very simple.

| I prefer the grain free food simply to control how much grain they get. I would LOVE to feed just kibble. Mina and Amigo would love to eat NO kibble, therefore they get something added. The snacks are very small and fresh foods, this is used for training. The cookie is something that was started 20yrs ago with other dogs. The issues started when I decided that I was tired of cooking and thought that I would try canned food. As for switching kibble,I won't do that unless the issues continue. I do have two dogs that do not tolerate fish in any form well. I also have two that were chewing on their paws until I stopped feeding chicken on a regular basis. They can eat it,just not every day,so I don't use a kibble that is fish or chicken based. Thank you so much for your reply. It is food for thought. |

| Did the problems start when you switched from home cooking to the kibble diet? It could be that they are having a hard time adjusting to the change. Or, it could be the Blue Buffalo. While many dogs do great on it, there does seem to be a high incidence of anecdotal evidence of digestive issues for dogs who eat it. I hope you can find the solution quickly. Diarrhea, vomiting, and vet bills are definitely no fun.

| They have all been eating kibble mixed with ?? all along. I was mixing my cooking with the kibble and got lazy. Well actually life just got to be to much (two adult children moved back in,one is getting a nasty divorce, there is also a wedding to help plan). Anyway about 3 weeks after I started mixing BB wet food in with the kibble, just long enough to get comfortable and think that it was all ok. Ive gone back to my cooking and the cooking and things seem to be slowly returning to normal. |
