| Tulip's Collar Hello, I have a Morkie Puppy that is almost 5 mos. old. She is a tiny one weighing only 1.5 lbs. We have purchased 2 different collars for her but she seems to hate them. She scratches at the collar all the time and eventually I give in and take it off. I want her to wear a collar so she will have a ID tag and a little bell so we can hear her and not step on the poor little thing. Would a ferret harness work better? Could I leave that on her all the time? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Tom |

| It takes them a long time to get used to it sometimes. I would put it on and just leave it on longer and longer every day. But a collar should never ever be used on small dogs to hook the leash to or they can get collapsing trachea. A harness is what should be used when the leash is used but I would not leave it on all day it can cause matting, irritation and be just plan uncomfortable.

| She's going to scratch at her collar until she gets used to it. That's just how it is. Leave it on her longer and longer and she'll get used to it in no time. Though you may need a new collar sooner rather than later, LOL! =)

| Thanks, I found her a comfy collar. She still hates it but hopefully she will get used to it. |
