yorkie puppies hair Hi everyone and I must say I am glad that I have found this wounderful site! I am a new yorkie owner and I must say that I have a lot of questions about my little girl. Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Linda and I am from PA. I bought my puppy in Nov. right before thanksgiving and she was very tiny. I was told her birth date was Sept 14 2005. The breeder said she was 8 weeks old. She had very short hair like pictures of younger pups. I questioned this and the breeder said she was still a baby. Well I have had her for 7 weeks now and her hair grew somewhat but she has no beard or fuzzy hair like others I have seen. Should I be concerened? When I brought her home she looked like an itsy bitsy rotti. She is now 3 1/2 lbs and about 7 inches high. Any help would be appreciated. Also she is ckc registered and I did see both parents. Thanks Linda

pup It may take some time to get a coat of hair..it depends on genetics. Some grow hair very fast, others take their time. If you trust the breeder to have shown you the actual parents, then I would not be concerned.

If your breeder was honest with you, and if you saw the parents, and are satisfied with the info they gave you, your baby might be a slow bloomer. Is your puppy a puppy from black and tan parents? Sometimes, they grow slower and woolier (is that a word?), their coats I mean. If you have any doubts about the breeder, I would suggest you contact them and ask the questions that concern you..Did you get your puppy in PA? Hey, Villette, another one of us need your expertise in posting pics..V, is our official pic poster..

Thank you for your input. and yes the parents were blackand tan. After I post my pic tomorrow and see what ya all think then I will contact the breeder. And yes I got the puppy in pa. It's not that I don't love the pup but I was expecting a little furbal. And I feel like I was mislead. Thanks again and I will post a pic tomorrow. Linda
