Yorkie Yakker | Brushing Teeth Do your yorkies let you do it?? I am kicking myself now for starting too late. He runs like hell as soon as he sees the toothbrush or the finger brushes. Any suggestions??

| Better late than never You'll have to start slow, just show him the brush and then give a treat until you can actually start brushing them. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I get the vanilla mint flavor toothpaste from the vet. My boys love it. Let your dog just lick the flavor. You can get finger brushes if he does not like a toothbrush stuck in his cheek. Hope he gets to liking the flavor and will come for his brushing. |

| Try putting the doggie toothpaste on a cheap, hard plastic, difficult to destroy, people toothbrush, give it to him & see what he does. This is the only way I get Huey's teeth brushed. He has toothbrushes stashed all over the house and chews on them constantly, with and without toothpaste. He is 5 & has not yet had his first dental. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...oothbrush.html
