| So does anyone else's yorkie react to strange sounds like my Gizmo ? So I have been trying everything you can possibly imagine to stop Gizmo from barking at everything, and I mean he barks at everything. Then yesterday I was play wrestling with him, and I decided to make noises with my mouth like I used to with my daughter, ad made the raspberry noise, you know the one that sounds like a fart lol. Well he just stopped playing and got this super serious look on his face, and just sat all polite looking at me hahaha. Today I tried it while he was upstairs barking at the kitties, and I was downstairs. He ran down the stairs so fast and just sat very polite in front of me again lol. I've done it a few times since and he comes and sits next to me every time :-) so I guess I have the most retarded training sound in the world now, it's like. His own version of the Cesar Millan training sound hehehe. I talked to my close friend who also is a member on here and lives nearby and apparently her Pasha reacts the same way to that sound lol. Are there others out there that have a yorkie that responds to this ? I just can't wait to see how stupid people think I look when I use it in public at the park to get him to listen hehehehe. |

| Bubba is scared to death of that sound. He will lower his ears and slink away to hide.

| Yogi reacts to sounds more than the other 2. If he's in my lap when I make a pop sound with my lips he'll slam his head onto my chest and rub. Then he'll look up at me with mischief on his face. If I keep making the sound he'll start rubbing his whole body against me, stopping occasionally to look up at me. It's so funny, and it's a special game just he and I play.

| Lola hops back and gives me the WTF?? look. Sometimes I use it to get her attention, I also blow lightly in her general direction (not at her) if raspberries don't work. |

| So apparently it is a yorkie thing lol. So funny. He can be anywhere in the house and if I make that noise with my mouth he comes running to me, sits right in front of me, and has this look like I don't know what that means but I'm listening mommy hahaha. |

| Zoey too Gets the zooms big time....also reacts when I stick my tongue out . Half afraid to give me doggy kisses but she soon forgets. This first year with us I have tried especially hard to reassure her all wierd sounds aren't bad or to be barked at. Like she can't even take a decent nap without her little head jerking straight up. So when I "shhh shhh shhh " and say "it's ok " , she will settle right down . We will see what happens when winter breaks and the city people start migrating to the lakes on their ski jets..... |
