| Baby teeth What age do yorkies usually lose their last baby teeth? Lola will be 8 months old on the 19th and she still has her baby pointy teeth on top, PLUS the new ones! The baby ones are literally like razor blades! Will she eventually lose them? |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | In my experience up to a year normally sooner and than sometimes those canines still do not fall out on their own. If not they will need to be cut out, which will mean putting your pup under anesthesia. I opted to have it done during a spay surgery in order to prevent my pup from have to go under anesthesia twice and to save money.

| It is quite commen for them to retain baby teeth. They need to be taken out or they can cause dental problems. I had Bella's removed during her spay.

| I had three of Cookie's removed at her spay at 7 months, as the others had come out on their own. And then at 10.5 months I noticed she had a big tooth coming out, and it freaked me out because I thought could have been a permanent tooth (even had a thread on it here). Surprised the hell out of me that a permanent tooth could come in that late to push out what was a huge baby tooth.
