| A question about my new baby Hi all, I'm a first-time Yorkie mommy and I have a quick question about my baby. She's as cute as can be but I've noticed that the fur on her muzzle is kinda short. (It's short closest to her nose and gets longer towards her neck). It's not at all like I remember my neighbor's Yorkie pup's muzzle, which was full and bushy. I saw another Yorkie over the weekend with a BEAUTIFUL coat and when his owner showed me pics of how he looked as a pup, his muzzle was bushy too. Did any of your puppies start out this way and go on to have the fur grow in thicker on their faces? Here's my baby "Phoenix". |

| my male was like that....he never grew long hair on his face (not saying yours won't). It was fine with me bc it looked cute and he was easy to take care of |

| Thanks Sukey! I've been thinking maybe she's a red-legged Yorkie but her fur is full everywhere else. Just not on her face. |

| I don't know about your baby's short hair on her face, but she is an adorable little doll. Welcome to YorkieTalk.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Your baby is absolutely adorable, what a face! It's so tough to say what hair/fur will do as they age bc they're all so individual.

| Hi and welcome to YT. Like others have said it is hard to tell until they are older. Laddy still has shorter hair on the end of his muzzle and long behind it. Some of it I think is in the breeding.

| That picture made me smile, what adorable face. Sissy's hair on her face is short, I have never cut it. I have been wondering if it because she chews on bully sticks all the time.
