| Pippin is Spayed So relieved that it is over and all went well. I had to spend a couple of days in Fl last week and she was boarded at the vet. Since they wanted to spay her mid March they suggested to do it while she was being boarded. I was really nervous not being here, and almost said no, I'll bring her back. But I knew she was in good hands and they would keep her quiet for the first couple of days. I called for regular updates and they called me when it was all done. She was chipped and 2 baby teeth pulled too. They did a great job and took really good care of her. I know if she was home, she would be racing around. She does have Diarrhea and they said it was from stress that she was fine with them. No food for 24 hrs and then give chicken and rice. Poor girl is so hungry, she kept going to the pantry where her food is kept and then looking for me. But she'll get a good breakfast tomorrow. Has this ever happened to anyone? |

| I'm no expert but that sounds pretty normal to me. Whenever my dogs were spayed they were uncomfortable that evening but felt better the next day. She had a lot done to her so it's not unreasonable that she would have diarrhea. Chicken and rice sound right for a dog or person with diarrhea. Hope things go good tomorrow. Let us know.

| I'm glad this is behind you. I hope pippin heals quickly. You are going to have such a special reunion with your baby girl.

| Feeling Better Pippin is feeling better after the vet prescribed FortiFlora probiotic and Metronidazole for her diarrhea. I'm so relieved. No diarrhea since Sat evening. I could tell after the first dose in the afternoon that she was doing better. I may ask the vet what to do so the next boarding doesn't give her stress diarrhea - maybe the probiotics before she boards might help. I have a wedding in Sept and I don't want her to go through this again. Poor thing. But it could have been the combo of the spay/boarding/ 2 teeth pulled too. Hopefully Sept will be better.
