Floppy ears -- how to keep them? My 11 week old male, Izzy has floppy ears and I love them. How do I keep his ears floppy? I don't want them to stand. They reflect his personality.

I don't think there's a way to make them floppy... The only that might help is to leave the hair on his ears alone so the weight would keep it down? I don't think I've ever seen anyone asking for suggestions to keep the ears floppy. LOL They are cute though, aren't they?!

My Lou Lou's ears are floppy.....so cute...her hair is so long so it keeps them down...I did trim them to see if they would stand up ..they did a bit...but I prefer them floppy....I'll just have to let her hair grow back again... Shirl

If you see no sign of them going up at this point then they probably won't anyway. Keeping the hair long on the ears will help weigh them down and you have a floppy eared Yorkie.

| Keep the hair long on his ears for a while. Most important, don't let a groomer shave them at the edges (near the base of the ear), which is very common for them to do. Would love to see a picture!

Izzy is only 11 weeks old. Bella's ears were floppy at that age, but they finally stood up at about 6 or 7 months, so it could still happen to Izzy. I'm sure that Izzy will still be cute whether the ears go up or stay down.
