| Blue Buff It has been a few weeks since I have posted. I guess that is a good think bc our little Marlie has been doing great. We experienced a bloody stool for a few days and that was taken care of with some antibiotics. The vet wasn't exactly sure what caused it. They tested for things and they all came up negative. Anyway she has been on blue buffalo puppy and she loves it. She does get gas occasionally and every now and then her stool is sometime runny. Maybe about every 7th dukie....does this mean the food is bad or is this normal? |

| Bella and my Shih Tzu have been on Blue Buffalo for quite some time with no issues. However, different dogs will have different reactions.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If gas continues, I'd really switch foods...gas means something isn't going right and the digestive system is stressed and not digesting something easily. Gas can also be very uncomfortable too...so I'd change it if it continues. Look for different ingredients than what's on your current bag.

| I would switch foods... My two are on Acana and every single one of their poops is firm and solid. It is not normal for them to have the runs regularly.

YT 2000 Club Member | I agree....switch to a different food as it seem to not being tolerated by your puppies system! I have heard others say BB has caused gas problems. Each pup is so different and finding the right food can sometimes be difficult. Good luck!

| These little ones sometimes do have sensitive digestive systems. It really bothers me that some pet food manufacturers put so many ingredients in the foods because it can make identifying a particular ingredient as being the cause difficult. Of course digestive problems can also be attributed to the way the foods were processed. If your pup is having some issue with the food you are feeding it is best to slowly try something else as soon as you can. Also try checking out any treats you are giving. They can also add problems. |

| You might want to consider switching foods. Blue Buffalo has several foods, but I don't know if they offer more than one puppy food. Consider going grain free if you can. I have a poodle that could clear a house with his gas. When the grain free foods came out I tried it and no more gas. Remember to switch very slowly, especially if your pup is really young. |
