BANNED! | yorkie has thinnig hair on head Kari my yorkie is starting to thin out her hair on the head. What could be the cause? Also I have a question can you use human shampoo on her just asking cause I always wondered if it made a difference. Thank you |

| How old is she? Sometimes when they are puppies and their adult hair starts to come in, it looks like it is thinning but it's not, it's just that the new hair is so light it appears that way. Of course, if your dog is older, that is a whole different issue and you might want to consult with the vet. |

| Is she actually thining or is her coat turning colors, when their heads turn gray it looks like they are thining. If she is truly thining, is she wearing a top knot, if the top knot band is not cut with scissors it can cause breakage. Human shampoo has a different ph than dog shampoo, dawn dish soap is better balanced than human shampoo. I use either dog shampoo or dawn. You can add baking soda to the shampoo raise the ph if that is all you have. My boy is changing coat colors which makes it look thin. |
