| Help need with peeling pads Each time I take both my babies for a walk, I noticed that my male yorkies pads peel and bleed after a walking session, this however doesnt happen with the female. Its only his back pads that peel and bleed only when he goes for a walk. Can anyone assist as to why this happens to him alone? Much appreciated thanks. |

| Ouch! That is painful. Is the pavement too hot or is he walking on something that is scratching his paws? If your girl isn't having the same problem, that is strange, unless they are walking on different things. Does he pull on his leash and scramble his feet, scratching his paws maybe?

| I use a product called "Musher's Secret". It helps to apply it to the paws prior to walking. It's a breathable barrier wax to protect against harsh environments. I love the stuff. It protects the paws & keeps them soft at the same time. I'm not sure if they sell it in South Africa, but I'm pretty sure you can buy it online. Maybe Amazon? | I also use Musher's Secret, and it's wonderful. It is really good in hot and cold temperatures.

| Musher's Secret will help protect and heal the pads. It may not be the walking though. Could be an allergy or some sort of sensitivity. |

| I had the same issue with Zoey but not with Magnus. Both absolutely hates booties so after much research, I found Musher's Secret. As the posters above me mentioned, it's a great product. It protects the pads from all sorts. I've also noticed while using this that both Magnus/Zoey's pads are pretty soft and not rough/hard. |

| Yes...it could be some sort of allergy/sensitivity. I was thinking that as well...especially since only one dog has the issue. If his paws don't heal up soon, maybe you should check with your vet. But in the meantime, the Musher's Secret might be able to help ease some of dryness and/or help with the healing process. I'd just be careful around the broken skin. Good luck!!
