| OMG- I need opinions- Baffled If this is to graphic please remove Im just looking for possible answers. I had Charlie neutered when I first got him (age 6 months) it was done by a veterinarian that I left due to poor care (Grrrr) , when Charlie had the surgery, He had only 1 testicle that was visible from the outside of his body. I was told that during surgery the other was found and removed, that it had just not dropped. now it was my understanding that once neutered he would no longer have "the urge" and he would not "hump" (this is something I just assumed) this has not been the case. He does not do it often and only certain people are his targets (me my mom and my brother in law HAHA) now, we always make him stop and scold him with a firm voice. Here is the baffling part, today I placed charlie up on the bed to brush him and he started to "hump" just mid air, since he was up high I noticed that he had a large protrusion behind his penis, it ran horizontal and was very firm to the touch, it did not hurt him for me to touch it and once he got past his humping moment it went away. It almost seemed like his penis was not in the right place the protrusion was not a bulge but the length of what his penis would be but going horizontal. Can testicles grow back??? Was something not removed entirely during surgery??? Can a penis get turned around??? Now I cant say that it has or hasn't appeared each time because to be honest I'm to busy trying to make him stop humping family members and he has never been high enough off the ground for me to notice. I have sent an email to his vet (the wonderful one, not the stupid one) but thought I might look here for some opinions.

| Not a clue here, but please let us know what your "good" vet tells you. Avery is neutered and still humps his bed once in awhile, but I just tell him to stop and go play with a toy and he does :/ |

| Could it possibly be a hernia?....With his humping it could possible increase abdominal pressure therefore 'popping' the hernia out....Just a thought. Shirl |

| Charlie Brwon is perfectly normal. What you are seeing is what is called the bulbus glandis. No his testicles did not grow back. Having a dog neutered does not stop the humping, females hump as well. Just direct his attention else where when this happens.

| My female has been humping quite a bit lately. I think it is because she wants attention now. She is year and six months old. I never knew a female and she is spayed humped at all. |

Teddy humps occasionally when he gets excited -- for him it is more of a dominance thing.

| Lol Ok, so my good vet called me this more and of course gave the same information about the glad that you all had told me. it was good to hear that it was normal, she also confirmed the being dominent thing so Charlie Brown is as normal as can be I just got an eye full on that day you have to wonder what these little guys think when you go pulling and poking on them
