| shampoo? I give Gizmo a bath once a week. I love for him to smell good. Not like a dog I have been using J&J baby shampoo and Pantene conditioner. I would say his coat is cottony. But I think his skin is getting dry. I want to get bath products that are good for him. Can someone give me advice on what I should use? Phyllis |

| I have used many but prefer "plushpuppy" you can only buy it online and it is made for long hair single coated dogs also since you mentioned he was cottony the "blow dry cream" they have is wonderful too. http://www.pupular.com/plushpuppy.htm Also at petco they have a product called the coat handler that's a spray on which detangles and adds shine. hope this helps

| Phyllis, I've started using Vellus products. I love them. When I took Trevor to the groomer's today, she said his hair was in wonderful condition... silky and with no mats or tangles. Guess it works pretty well. I can't believe you live in Gun Barrel City. We'll be staying there in June when we go to Canton. My husband loves your little town. Cyndie Trevor's Mom |

| Out of all the shampoo's/conditioners I have used on Schatzie I prefer Vellus products. They are available online. Dry skin could also be caused by not rinsing all the products out - just a thought.

| I read in another post that baby shampoo is the wrong PH balance for a dogs skin correct? I love the baby powder, clean scent. I bought a spray to spray on for dogs after a bath, but it doesn't last. I need a shampoo good enough for my yorkie. It seems she itches and scratches at herself a little, so she may have an allergy or dry skin. Any suggestions? |

| Shampoo We have been using Vermont Soap Factory Organics Pet Shampoo. Crafted with Certified Organic veggy oils and botanicals. No artificial foaming or synthetic preservatives, dyes or perfumes. Safe and nontoxic. Ingrediants= Saponified organic coconut, olive and jojoba oils. natural essential oil blendwiyh tee treeand orange oil, organic aloe vera and rosemary extract. USDA approved. The oils moisturize the skin, and none of our Yorkies scratch, using it. What we really like about it also is it gives a lemony type orange smell. SORRY sounding like a commercial here ha ha Wondering when we can bath our almost 7 week puppies? Any suggestions out there? Thanks. Kirk and Mary |
