| Oh here comes poop again How come some poop is really dry looking and some is plump and moist? Going thru dog food changes and my oh my what a difference . I took her right off Natures Logic . Is it the moisture content in it? Didn't seem to agree with her either, threw up once and never has before Have to look hurry and get to town before next snow storm hits. |

| Others will chime in as well but.... It's not always the new food that causes issues.... It's usually just the "CHANGE" in food. Change = poor crap.... sorta like politics. LOL |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | There are some theories about this. Lots of ingredients in dog foods aren't easily digested by a dog's system, therefore, some foods come out the other end undigested or partially digested - making the poo voluminous, moist, mushy -- also, dogs can still smell the 'food' in the poo, which is why some dogs eat their own poo. A drier, more crumbly poo is thought to contain just the waste products - hence, it's smaller, drier, doesn't smell like food. In other words, the food itself was better digested.

| Oh my gosh Quote:
THATS very interesting!wowww......although what I thought was good looking poop came from her eating orijen, till she wouldn't eat it anymore. It was the biggest little pile from such a little fur butt! And didn't look like anything undigested in it. ....And ever since she pooped out a nice chunk of tennis shoe sole ( from breeders) I squeeze it before flushing .... I'm just thrown from one extreme to another I guess. | |
