| Need Help To Introduce Rocky To Nala Hello everyone. I have adopted a 7 month old 12 pound yorkie girl. Her name is Nala. I think she is mixed with something but I don't care. She is a very sweet and high spirited puppy. I also have Rocky. He is a 1 year old 6 pound boy,who I have had for about 8 months now. He has the same type of personality as Nala and I wanted to know how I can get them to stop barking at each other? They behave like they want to tear each other up. I keep them separated but I want them to learn to get along so we can all do things together. Please help? Any and all suggestions accepted.

| Having trouble posting more than one picture. The other picture is of Nala. This picture is of Rocky.

| What are they separated by? If it is something they can see through I would coax them both near the gate or barrier and have them facing each other so they can see one another then give them treats. This will show them that good things happen when they are in close proximity of each other. Once they get good at that do the same thng with no barrier. Have another person around to help you in case they do fight but if treats are involved they probably will be more focused on you How long have you had Nala? It took us about a week or so before Gizmo was completely okay with our mixed puppy when we brought her home, that was over year ago. Good Luck! |

| It will take time. For now keep doing what you're doing then slowly introduce them. Just make sure for the time being not to leave them alone together...With time I bet they will be great friends |

| I pray so. I can't show attention to either one without the other going crazy. I am going to try the treats and bring them together for short periods at a time. Thank you for your help. I really do need it.

| Ok, so I have tried the treats and putting them together for a few seconds at a time. This last time they were together for a full minute before they started to growl and fight. They are getting there and I am happy. They have played with each other for short periods. Thank you all for your help.

| My son played fetch with Rocky and Nala and I am glad to say there was no fighting. They have only fought once today. They have been out at the same time today four times and they only fought the first time. I would say things are looking up.
