| Puppy coat question Lilah's puppy coat (the black hair) seems silky, but at the roots where it's coming in grey it seems more cottony. Is that possible? To have a silky puppy coat and a cottony adult coat? |

| It will probably change a lot the first 6 to 8 months for sure. While they still have their puppy coat, it is really impossible to tell what their adult coat will end up being. How old is Lilah?

| Aww, so sweet! Yeah, it really is to hard to tell right now. At 5 months, I was thinking Mandie's might be cotton or a blend. But a few months later, it was clear...silky with a slight wave to it

| Usually the adult coat comes in at about 9 or 10 months. You just don't know what you have until they are about a year old. |

| Bella's hair looked cottony at the roots at 4 months and she developed a few mats before we got her in for her first grooming at 5 months. Surprise, surprise, she turned out to be a beautiful silky! I predict silky for Lilah. You'll have a better idea after the puppy coat is gone. |
