Donating YT 500 Club Member | Poor jasper... I had him groomed this evening. This was his 3rd time with the mobile groomer. I was checking him over really good a few minutes ago now that he is ready for a nap. Anyway, she nicked his little man part. It still has dried blood on it!! I'm so mad. She did not bother to even tell me!!! I'm sure he yelped so she had to have known. So I feel like I'm back to the drawing board...again. I just knew this would work out. She didn't cut his face how I asked her too either. His facial hair was long...she shave under his eyes and the sides of his nose. Ugh I'm just frustrated!!

| I can totally relate! Puff has seen a groomer for the last time, ever since they scalped her 2 weeks ago! I will be doing all of her grooming from now on. Poor little Jasper!

| Poor Jasper! I hope he's ok. I know that had to hurt him. It makes me mad when the vet cuts Milo's nails to short and they bleed. We live close to the vets office so i take him there to get his nails cut and his anal glans expresses. They do charge for that. My groomer shaved his nose like that one time and I didn't like it at all. Now I make sure i always tell her not to do that.

| Poor Jasper! Sending gentle hugs to him. I hope you can find a good groomer, or you can join those of us who groom at home.

| I had one bad haircut with Bella--no nicking, but they did shave her knees bald and leave her facial hair too long. We read the groomer the riot act and explained EXACTLY how we wanted her hair cut the last time, and they gave her the best haircut ever. I don't know whether you want to take another chance with Jasper's mobile groomer, but whatever you decide to do, I hope it works out! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank you all for your support. I'm not sure what ill do yet. If she had told me that would have made a difference. I had started buying things to groom him at home. Guess I'm.afraid ill make him look terrible. But its only hair and will grow back, huh?

| So sorry to hear about Jasper. Hope he isn't traumatized by being nicked, as that will make all grooming more difficult in the future, no matte who does it. You should give it a try yourself. It really isn't hard, and you can be flexible about how you want him to look. There is no exact right or wrong. I do all 4 of mine, and they have each only had 2 "groomer" haircuts, just to sort of establish a pattern.

| Poor baby! My groomer charges me $25 but the last two times she's only charged $20. The first time I noticed Piper kept licking her paw and her nail had been cut too short, the 2nd time her cut looked horrible and choppy. Ugh!!! So, you that do your own grooming, can you offer tips to those of us that would like to try!?! What supplies would I need? I'm terrified to cut her nails!!!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Poor chap, I sympathise with him completely and your feelings too. Sadly I've had a few 'hairdressers'. They all start off well and then eventually revert to the old production line syndrome. I've eventually found an ex 'Crufts' cutter who only uses scissors. She's brilliant, but at 75 I'm horrified at the thought of her retirement! |
