YT Addict | This is why you never buy pet store puppies!!! If you have a facebook, you may have already see this but I thought it was worth the share again of those who haven't and for those who are thinking about buying a pet store puppy. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the cuteness of those babies but it is just not worth it! MEET THE MOTHER OF A PET STORE PUPPY "My name is 109. I have lived in a puppy mill for 6.5 years. I have had 11 litters of puppies and made my owner over $30,000. To show his gratitude, he has never bathed or brushed me....he has never placed a kind hand on me. I have never seen a vet or felt grass under my feet. The only time I am out of my 2x3 crate is when I am bred by force. I get a little more food and a cleaner pen when I have my babies. I am happy for awhile, but by 4 weeks they take my pups away to sell them online and at pet stores and I am alone again back in my crate. The wire floor in my crate has caused me to have permanent deep painful groves in my pads. My nails are so long I can't walk on a hard surface. Today, we were rescued. I am so scared, but I experienced something I have never heard before.....a soft, gentle voice." Please share to help spread the word & raise awareness about puppy mills! Volunteer, Foster, Donate, Adopt... The picture I included was the one that came with it.

YT Addict | This was the update that they posted on their Facebook later on: ****UPDATE**** ''Everyone has asked about her so I am posting this update. For those of you who fell in love with #109 here is her update and picture of her all cleaned up. When they busted the mill she was one of 52 dogs taken out. Her fur was so matted, that she lost circulation in her right leg. she had emergency surgery to save it. She also had cysts removed from her eye and 15 teeth removed. She is doing well all things considered and her new name is Hope.''

| Poor little mite, these puppy farms should be outlawed, they are disgusting people to keep any dog in those conditions is just criminal. Thankfully this little one will finally know love.

| OMG look @ that cutie under that mass of fur! It comforts me that Hope will live the rest of her life pampered & loved...but saddens me deeply that there's many Hope's out there in puppy mill land. Please do not buy your puppy from a pet store or online! It's puppy mills hiding in disguise! Puppy brokers also sell online, they get all their puppies from puppy mills!

| Where I live it's against the law to sell puppies in pet stores. They do have rescue adoption days on the weekends in some stores, but no puppies only adults are at the rescue events. |

YT Addict | Oh that is great! Unfortunately it is not like that where we live. There is only one store in my town that sells puppies and they always have the cutest yorkie puppies! But of course I have never bought one from there but it is so tempting sometimes. Thankfully I know better!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I too saw this pup and her sad story on FB... I was in tears just thinking about her. I can imagine how scared and confused she must of been. It just makes me sick!!!! I hope she find a wonderful home.
