| Quick update All 4 puppies are doing great. Allie is still a little wobbly. We were able to bribe her into laying in my daughters lap as we spoon fed her yogurt and jarred chicken baby food and we were able to put all 4 puppies by her and got 3 to latch on and suck. They weren't getting anything but we let them suck until she decided she'd had enough (about the time the yogurt ran out) and got up. It's not much but it's a step in the right direction. We have started her on fenugreek to help with milk production and are monitoring food, water, peeing and pooping. No vomiting, which is good, no fever and she's not licking at her incision. Puppies have all been fed, charted, peed, pooped and are asleep. Allie and I are going to lay down for a little bit and nap too, while we can. Just wanted everyone to know an update and say thank you for the prayers and kind thoughts. And thank you to everyone who is a brededer or who reached out to a breeder for help and sent me information! I appreciate it so much!!! We're taking it slow and steady but that wins the race!! Thank you again my great Yorkietalk support group. Love, Michele, Allie, Lancer, Lace, Lyric and Lark. (And Noah and Westley too)

| I did post an update in the other thread. Mom is nursing and taking care of pups, We had an herbalist friend mix up some hormones for her-the same things her body would have released had she labored and birthed naturally, and gave her some to help produce milk and maternal feelings, as well as fenugreek. I really think it helped. We were really patient and just went slow with her and puppies and getting her used to them....

| Sounds like you are doing great. Glad to hear you are getting the pups to nurse even if it is only for short periods of time. Hopefully it is a the start they need to get their mom doing her job. |
