| Puppy Mills are EVERYWHERE! This one was in MY state of Alabama..up north by the Huntsville area. 122 dogs! "Mostly Yorkies and Pomeranians" .. The attitudes and words of those "helping" frustrate me so much! No charges even though these babies were OUTSIDE, WET, and FREEZING! They had ice in their hair for heaven's sake!!! The Animal Control officer said this lady "got in over her head" blah blah blah. GRRRR Twenty-five of these babies are pregnant Investigators rescue 122 dogs from alleged Colbert County puppy mill - Huntsville News | WAAYTV.com and ABC 31: News

| I know. I just want to go cuddle and spoil all of them. I just dont understand how people think..or rather how they DON'T care. Just makes you want to do un-Christian things for sure.

| That is so sickening it just makes me cry. I think the owner needs to be put outside in a cage in freezing weather for a while.

| Wow hope they all find loving forever homes! It's a shame that the shelter is not taking in any strays since they're all filled...so what happens to them? It's so cold out there.

YT 1000 Club Member | I'm not so sure that this applies to the place/lady in question here, but... One has to give a little slack on issues like this. I can visualize myself in a position like that, having a "full house" and desperately wanting to help the other animals which needed a home. She may have been forced to put males n females together (causing the pregnancies). Some people just can't say no when it comes to an animal in need. So, I'd say, bless their Hearts, but, not their judgment.

| Yes...it looks like there are people who are interested in adopting the dogs out. I wonder how many are going to be adoptable?? 122 dogs is A LOT of pups to adopt out. I hope that some rescues step up and offer to take some of the dogs. Maybe a sanctuary will step up and offer to take the harder cases that need some work before adopting. How sad is it that people get away with the cruel treatment of animals?!? OK....so maybe you get in over your head with 20, 30, or 40 of them....but 122 of them???? If the person was a hoarder, I'd have more sympathy for them...because at least their heart could have been in the right place...but a puppy miller is just in it for the money. If I had 122 dogs that were outside freezing, I'd bring them in my house. I wouldn't leave them to die outside. I don't understand why there aren't tougher laws against these people. It really irritates me that the USDA is coming down on the smaller breeders, while it gives these big breeders a free pass. Why not sink their money and efforts in combating the puppy mill problem instead of wasting their time messing with the smaller breeders. Unfortunately, since there are such minimal repercussions for such treatment of animals, there's not much deterrent to stop people from abusing these animals..... | It had to take a very mentally ill person to do this...or someone w/no heart...basically your average puppy miller! Yeah, everybody wants a Yorkie! I really hope they'll ALL be spayed & neutered b4 getting adopted out & the new homes screened carefully.

| They are only going to let the pregnant pups go to Rescues. They have a mandatory spay/neuter policy. Here is there facebook page with the notice/info so far: https://www.facebook.com/#!/colbertcountyshelter
