| New to YorkieTalk, new to Yorkies Hi, I am the Dad to a little girl that talks me into everything. My 6 year old daughter pleaded with me for almost a year to get a house dog. I have not had a house dog in over 20 years, only large outside dogs. My wife was on board but it was left up to me to find the perfect lap dog. After looking at many different small dogs, I figured I would have to get a Yorkie due to their perceived intelligence and personalities. I was just really fearful of getting a "yapper" and knew that would not work. I finally found a beautiful little puppy and brought her home. It turned out she has the same birthday as my daughter, which she was really excited about. This little girl has stolen all of our hearts with her wonderful personality. She was born March 16 of this year. I just had her spayed and did have to remove her puppy canines due to them being heavily rooted and the adults coming in. She looked like a piranha with two sets of canines top and bottom. Not sure how she stacks up against the breed standard, but we love her. She is 3.8 lbs. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/puppy14.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/9months2.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/9months.JPG |

| Hi I am new to this site but I do have two Yorkie one female Ariel One Male Franklin you may think I will be breeding these two? Answers is No because my little female she was born with a defect to her leg so she is Three legged little girl so I had her spaded because it would of been hard on her to carry babies. But she has made up for it.... she is my service dog now.... when I sleep at night I have sleep apnea that means I stop breathing while sleeping. She began to wake me up at night and she would not give up no matter what until I would get up and out of my bed! I would get up go to the bathroom! When I came back to bed my little Ariel would be laid out sleeping. So she is a service dog. She wakes me up when I don't wake myself up to breathe. So why I am here? I am looking for a mentor because I do want to breed Yorkie And not for the money but only for the improvement of the breed I also want to start showing once I find the right one. So That's the bottom line I need someone to show me the ropes. Plus I love this breed because they are so smart! |
