| need help with barking Rocky is a 3yr old teacup yorkie and is adorable however, he now barks at anyone coming into the house and anyone passing the window. He sometimes gets so wound up he bites whoevers is holding him, usually me!! most of the time he is calm ,cuddly and lovely. any suggestions? |

| Since you say "now" he's like that, he didn't mind it before? Do you think maybe something set him off where he feels he needs to protect his territory? If he's treat driven, how about giving him a treat when someone passes the window? For those that come into your home, hand them a treat to give to Rocky. Zoey's somewhat like your Rocky. Except she doesn't bite/nip at humans no matter how wound up she gets now. There was one time where her teeth ripped through my shirt and cut about an inch of my skin on my side. I screamed bloody murder. She didn't mean to hurt me but she got extremely wound up that she just grabs (with her teeth) whatever is closest to her. Which happened to be me at the time. |

| Bella goes nuts ANYTIME anyone walks in the door. Doesn't bite, but barks her head off. We are working on learning " enough" so she'll alert, but stop when told.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Sure wish I knew the answer. I Will Not put a shock collar on any dog. No Way. My Yorkies bark so much my husband said we are not going out camping anymore. Oh well, I am glad they bark so when someone strange comes around I know about it Love the Yorkies and know that they are the best alarm system to have! |
