| Is there such thing as all tan yorkies as newborns? Hi there. So I think I might've found a person who's selling yorkies in my city but I'm a little unsure. Because the mom doesn't really look like a yorkie but also because two out of the three newborns were born all tan. Are these purebred yorkies or a mix?? |

| I got my little guy in Winnipeg about 3 weeks ago. I found him on kijiji. Have you looked on there? Sometimes there's not many postings and other times there are quite a few but when I was looking I found they went pretty fast. Just be causious about who your getting your pup from, ask lots of questions and see both parents if possible. |

| Honestly not the expert on that. I've never heard of all tan newborns but that doesn't mean there isn't. Someone would probley be able to answer that question better for you. Do they have papers on the parents or anything? If your unsure I would say follow your gut in my opinion. I just happened to take a look on there tonight and there are different ones available. Search Yorkshire terrier as well as a search for yorkie. |

| The tan ones could be chocolates, which means that she is breeding 2 dogs with a genetic mutation. While some people value the "off" colors, they are not breed standard.

| Any breeder worth their salt would never ever sell on kijiji. The mom looks like a shih tzu. I wouldn't give this person my hard earned money.

| mom looks like a mix, and chocolate yorkie color is usually darker. I would say not purebred... either way if mom is NOT a mix, mom has an underbite and is not representative of the breed and shouldn't have been bred.
