| worried about Nelly The past couple of days, Nelly has been acting quite different. She is usually nibbling on us, the other dogs, just constantly playing. Now, she likes to rest, she is cuddling us alot more, she is not playing with the other dogs and instead of nibbling she is licking. Not that we are complaining but we kind of like her being so energetic can she be showing signs of going into heat? She is 5 months old and I have heard that they usually quiet down and act like a very quiet dog at the age of 1 year can she be changing this early. This is my first yorkipoo so I do not know what could be going on, if someone has experienced this please let me know, maybe I am worrying for nothing. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali is 6 months old and in the last 2 weeks has calmed down alot! She is not biting near as much, sleeps more but still is energetic when she is up. At first i thought she may be sick but I think she is just growing up.

| Other than bleeding is there any other signs to know if she is in heat. It seems like when she wants to play it is with my female more than the male which is the one she usually likes to torment. Now he wants to play and she just ignores him, both of my other dogs have been fixed though and are alot older than Nelly. I just hope she is not coming down with anything, she seems so small to be growing out of her oh so playful stage, I don't think we are ready to give up our old Nelly yet but I guess we will take it as it comes as long as she is not coming down with anything. |

| YOu are only talking about "the past couple of days." I wouldn't be worried at all. She sounds like she's just fine to me. She may be just having a couple of "quiet days." Watch out!!!! Or she may just be growing up and settling down a little. Carol Jean |

| If this is a sudden change, I'd keep an eye on her.

| I've never had a yorkiepoo...but I have a yorkie now...and I used to have a poo. My poo never settled down. But Syd (yorkie) got WAY more snuggly and calm right around 6 months. Now she only gets a play/energy burst once a day. So your dog might just be growing up. |

| When Deb turned 5 months old, almost literally overnnight she calmed down a lot. I mean she still has a lot of puppy energy, but she also became much more snuggly and quiet at times. That was almost 2 months ago. Maya on the other hand will be 6 months old later this month and she has shown no signs of settling down at all. She has acquired all the energy Deb lost...and then some
