| Is my baby pregnant or was it a false pregnancy? Okay so I have a Toy Yorkie who we took in a couple months ago because the person who had her before didn't care about her anymore. I had no idea she wasn't spayed. Anyways I have another puppy (bentley) who just turned a year old and was due to be neutured a couple weeks after we took the yorkie (zoe) in. But anyways Zoe went into the heat and Bentley went insane and there was one time where my mom found them locked together, so fast forward a week or two and I see Zoe nipples have gotten bigger and her stomach was getting bigger so we pretty much had to throw the spay and neuter out of the window until the birth of the puppies because we knew we had to be prepapred for an emergency c-section. However I've noticed that while her nipples are filling up with milk the swelling in her stomach has seemed to go down. Am I crazy and she's still pregnant or was it a false pregnancy? |

| You need to go to a vet. When was the tie like the date? I would still get your boy neutered. How much does the female and male weigh?

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | It could be either a true pregnancy or a false one. If you want to know for sure a trip to the vet can confirm. The vet can tell as soon as three weeks into the pregnancy by doing an x-ray. Which may be the right thing to do in order for you to be totally be prepared and see to it that she gets the proper care. | How long since she was bred? You said 'fast forward a week or two'. Yorkies don't usually start showing until it has been around 5 weeks after they were bred. How much does the male and female weigh? How old is the female? ?There are so many things to consider. It could be very dangerous for the female depending on her age and size. I would recommend taking her to the vet.

| Okay have an update guys haha. So she actually is very pregnant (due next week Tuesday) and is having two puppies. The vet actually let me feel the puppies which was a pretty good feeling which made me feel like the happiest girl in the world. Also since she isn't having a large litter that's why her stomach is really protruding so much. Thank you for all your suggestions! |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Looks like you have some catching up to do to get ready for the new arrivals. Things such as whelping box, whelping supplies, bedding possibly finding a breeder near you that you can call if you need assistance. Two pups should be an easy whelp but there is always the chance with any birth that something can go wrong. Have you vet and emergency vets numbers on speed dial. You can also search other thread here on YT for some great information to prepare you for what to expect. Most importantly start your gal on puppy food right now to increase her mild production. I feed my gals a mix of dry puppy food and can puppy food three times a day un til whelping and than four times a day after. Use the same brand of food she is on now. Meanwhile here is a great site that can be very helpful in the care of mamma and pups. Debbie Jenson Dog Breeding and Canine Reproduction by Debbie Jensen. That's good, don't hesitate to ask questions along the way. There are several great breeders here that are always willing to offer advise. Please keep us posted.

| If she's due today, she would have got pregnant the beginning of October. Are you sure she wasn't already pregnant when you got her?
