Does your yorkie run in circles Maddie will run in circles for the longest time. Sometimes around something and sometimes just in a big circle. It always clockwise too, I have never seen her do it counter clockwise. It isn't occasionaly, she will do it several times a day. Joan

My Zoe loves to run in circles. I find it adorable but I get worried at the same time. I think its normal. Its funny because I think Zoe only runs counter-clockwise. I may not be paying too much attention but I will notice from now on. I will keep you posted.

My neighbor's Yorkie (who came from an excellent breeder) did this and it was because of the time he spent in a kennel. When I would ring the doorbell, he would go to the door and just walk in circles and bark. It was very cute.

| Dudley runs in circles (counter-clockwise) whenever he is upset over something or doesn't want to do what you want him to do. We have tried to get him to stop but no luck so far.

Yorkie Rose had the spinners of all spinners. But, they didn't run in circles. They would run in the yard for a short distance and spin like a whirling dervish. It made us dizzy. I would say it sounds pretty common based on these posts..

There was a German Shepherd on the Dog Whisperer who did that and it was some sort of a nervous disorder I think and they started taking him on long walks to correct the bahavior and it worked.

Our little Lindsey spins when she's happy & excited ! Especially after I pick up her little poo roll from the puppy pad, she follows me to the toilet while I flush it down. Its so funny to see she's all happy at the 'present' she left, LOL ... She also spins when shes excited to go places. Gosh, I"ll have to observe if its counter-clockwise, never really noticed that part other then she's happy ! Her sister will spin too but not as often, when its time to eat or go somewhere. I guess its a normal thing with these happy yorkies !!
