| I am buying puppy and need help asap!!! I am buying a schnauzer/yorkie mix tomorrow, well i think i am. The puppy is 9 weeks, and has really short hair. I am attaching the picture, and would love for any help on if this puppy is going to grow longer hair. She will probably stay in a puppy coat, but i do want longer hair on her. The lady i am buying from said that her hair would not come in until 4 to 5 months.???????? Any help is so very much appreciated. Thanks! |

| How much are you paying? Mixes should cost very little money because they are mixes and can be found everywhere. Do not fall for people calling them designer dogs and if they do run very far from them. Because he is a mix there is no way really to tell what traits he will have but to just wait and see. Small breed dogs should also stay with there moms until 12 weeks because there moms really teach them a lot and those few weeks really do matter. If you want a mix have you thought of looking at shelters or petfinder.com?

YT 1000 Club Member | Is he/she mixed with a mini/standard/ Giant schnauzer? As far as hair goes she should have long hair since both breeds tend to be long coated....but there are some yorkies whose hair won't grow long as well as I'm sure there are some schnauzers who don't have long hair either. She could take after a yorkie more or be more like a schnauzer or be a happy median between the two. There's really no way to tell how she'll turn out especially at this early of an age but I'm sure she'll turn out cute! I'm not sure if the 12 week YTCA guideline would apply since the puppy in question is a mix and depending on what type of schnauzer she's mixed with and how she's doing it may be okay to send her home sooner Imo. |
