| Constipation after being spayed My Libby got spayed yesterday morning and has been peeing fine, but has not pooped yet. She ate a tablespoon of her wet food last night and a little kibble and about a tablespoon of canned chicken. She had her tablesppon of wet food this morning, still no pooping. Could she be constipated or is it just because she fasted all night before the surgery and most of yesterday? What can I give her to help her go? |

| If she hasn't pooped by the time your vet's office is open, I'd give them a call, and ask the vet what they want you to do. You'll get great advice here, but anything that can put your Yorkie at risk, I'd always call the vet. Please let us know what the vet says or if she starts going on her own, we like to hear the results when people ask these kinds of questions, and want to know if your puppy is alright. Cheers Quad

| It can take a few days for them to finally go poo. As long as there not straining and nothing coming out its ok to wait it out 3 or 4 days. Callie did not go for 7 days after her knee surgery.

| Both my pups didn't poo for about 2-3 days after getting snipped... I did call for Magnus since he was my first pup. But Zoey, I expected it so I decide to wait min. of 3 days unless I saw any other sign that something was wrong. |
