| Short Hair on Back Legs Sophie is a little over 10 months old now. She's been to the groomer a month ago and then about 2-3 months before that. I noticed the other day that the hair on her back legs is a lot shorter than the hair on her back and front legs. We're letting her hair grow out, so I don't think the groomer would have cut the hair on her back legs. (But then again, I asked them not to cut the hair on her ears, and they still cut it...scratch that...they shaved it. Argghhh!) Is it common for the hair on the back legs to not grow as much/fast as other places? |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | hmmm...I don't really know if it grows slower but both my girls hair seems to get to a certain length and stop - and on the ears ...usually yorkies ears ARE shaved down on the top 3rd....did you specifically ask them NOT to cut it at all ? If you did... then they just didn't listen. I sure had my share of grooming experiences like too - which is why I do my girls myself now. The hair will grow.... that's the good thing. |

| Sophie's my first puppy with long hair, so I'm a little new to the whole groomer experience. I didn't specifically address the ears, but I asked them to only cut the hair around her eyes, paws, and bottom. She had beautiful frilly hair on her ears before they shaved it. I wasn't too upset--it'll grow back. Besides, she so darn cute either way. ha I do have some other groomer questions, but I'll post those separately. Thanks for the reply. |
