YT Addict | 3 yorkies?? I never realized how addicting yorkies could be, but now that I have two of them, I am really wanting one more. Anyone out there have three or more yorkies? i am getting married in March of next year and I am trying to convince my fiancee we need one more to add to our family I have really been looking at getting a parti yorkie. Is three to many or can you never have enough? |

YT 2000 Club Member | We have 3 yorkies! 2 is much easier, but I would not give up any one of them. It is much easier to take 2 somewhere then 3! It all depends on how much you take them with you, if you have a fenced in yard and the cost of vet appointments, shots, etc. It is 3 times the fun, but also 3 times the expense!

YT Addict | Yes we are blessed that finances are not to huge of a concern when it comes to having three dogs and we just bought a house with a huge fenced in backyard so there is plenty of room. We do take our two everywhere we go, so I did not know how much difficult that would be. |

| I try to justify it by saying I only have two hands but should I ever grow another I surely will get another yorkie.

| I have two and would love a third, but my girls are a handful by themselves! I would say having 2 is a million times better than one for sure. Three seems like too many for me though. Maybe if we had a big house and the financial means to add another, I would. I know I want a Biewer and a ragdoll cat at some point. I love animals.

YT 2000 Club Member | I take 2 with me all the time, as mine are on the small side and I can carry both in one arm. I have walked all three at one time, but it is not easy. Thankfully all of mine get along great and their is no jealously or Alpha dog! Mine are all pretty quiet with bouts of playtime but none are extremely active or hyper. I think if one had a demanding or was very hyper, it would be a different story. I guess, I lucked out that all of our love to cuddle and want to be on our laps. One does tend to wander as she has a diva attitude. She has been like this since the day I brought her home! I really think it depends on their personality, too!

YT Addict | My Ellie is definitely a diva but her and Lilly Anne get along great. They are so lovable and sweet so I think they would do fine with adding another member to the family. Ellie is 4 and a half pounds and Lilly Anne is 3 pounds on a good day so they are not to much at one time. Hopefully if I got another one it would be as sweet and lovable as my two are. |

| They are addicting aren't they? Being on Yorkie Talk and seeing how so many people have multiples seems to make it even more desirable. I have 4 (well 1 Yorkie and 3 Morkies), two are 5yrs. old and 2 sisters are 4 yrs. old. I love it, and still want more, but am going to hold off for a while. I want to space out the ages a little more, as I worry about having 4 senior pups at the same time, and God forbid losing them close together. Once you get over one or two, it does get more difficult to take them with you, and it is really hard to find someone to watch them if you travel. It is tempting though, and like you I have plenty of room for more.

YT Addict | Yes it is so very tempting! And my girls love to go places. They never meet any strangers. They are roughly about two years apart but my youngest is only about 5 months old. I am trying to refrain and wait at least until after we get married in March but it is just so hard! And like you said, seeing all these people on here that have multiple yorkies make me want another one even more! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have 3 and while I love them all to pieces, I would not have 3 again. When my DH passed away unexpectedly last year the responsibility of 3 is difficult. Finances we're cut in half. I maintain insurance on all 3, have some savings for emergencies and care credit but just the food, heartworm meds and routine visits are costly. They are wonderful company and I can't imagine my life without them but it really limits me going anywhere. I think 2 is a good number for me.

| I was thinking of getting 3 not too long ago....found a beautiful little girl that I tried to look into adopting....but I guess everything works out for a reason because now I feel like I definitely can't handle another furkid. Not just for financial reasons, but mine are a handful and just having 2 does take up a significant amount of my day and I don't think I'd have the time or energy for 3. Yesterday was bath day...I spent 3 hours trying to wash, dry and groom both of the boys. Of course, this could be easily rectified by taking them to the groomer except I can't/won't do that. I've got a fearful/aggressive dog who'd have the runs for a week if I let a groomer touch him. Taking them in the car has gotten nearly impossible....they both want to ride in my lap while I drive and it doesn't matter who else is available in the car to hold them. I am hoping this will be remedied by a booster seat, but I am not sure if they'll even go for it...and if I had 3, I don't think they'd all fit in a booster that fits in the front seat of my car. It seems like one of them or both of them always have some kind of funk...fleas....runny poop...allergies....a tummy ache....one won't eat or the other is trying to eat something he shouldn't...and my carpet cleaner has become my best friend. I am constantly cleaning up poo and pee. And on vet trips or any trip, I always take both of them...even if it's for one dog. Neither dog gets left home alone out of fear they will have separation anxiety from being home alone. Don't get me wrong...I love my boys to death and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I wanted high maintenance dogs and I got them. I also adopted both of them, so they both came with their fair share of problems. I guess if I were in your situation, I'd look to see if I had the time and energy for another. Having a big house and a fenced in yard obviously will make it a lot easier to take on another one. If it were me, I'd wait until the wedding is over and I am moved in to make the decision. Let the pups you have adjust to the new house and new routine first and then bring another one in. Having 4 hands definitely helps...and with a husband, you'll have someone to help you with all of them!! Yorkies are for sure addictive!! From my little experience with them, they are like no other breed of dog I've had before. It's more like having children than having dogs. I never used to worry about my dogs getting cold if they went outside without a coat. I never had to worry about if they ate enough so they wouldn't go into sugar shock. I've never had dogs with such sensitive little systems or hair that I had to brush and put in a pony tail daily...but those are all the reasons why I love having them!! I love spoiling and doting over them!! |

| I had 3 at one time, but over the years, they went to rainbow bridge I never thought I´d want another yorkie, I felt like I could never replace the ones we had..but fate had another plan for us. Now, we have Milo and Bella and just 2 weeks ago, Bella had 3 pups that we are going to keep...so yes, I now have 5 yorkies lol. I love this breed..I adore everything about them! 5 yorkies doesnt seem like much at all.But I have 3 kids, so after that, even a houseful of dogs seems low maintinence lol. |
