| Puppy coat? My king is 5 months and his coat is just not the best looking. Doesn't shine, and looks thin? He has a good amount of hair it's just real thin and almost looks fragile/dry, is this normal? Is this still a puppy coat? Is a puppy coat even supposed to look like like this? When is the adult hair supposed to come in? He also has itchy dry skin so I'm currently working on finding a shampoo that works best |

| The coat will change in color and texture for the first 2 years. So, be patient, feed a good quality puppy food for the first year, use a gentle shampoo and conditioner that helps achieve smoother silky look. Has he been groomed yet? I think I had most of Tiki's puppy coat cut off around 6 months, and it was quite a surprise. All her black coarse hair went away and she had finer, silky silver grey hair under. It took almost 2 years to get to optimum thickness and length.
