| Canine Caviar I know several members feed this to their dogs and are very happy with it. I am having a difficult time finding a limited ingredient kibble form a company that I can trust.. Can someone tell me where Canine Caviar is Manufactured ? Do they have their own facility ? Recalls ?? For dogs with food sensitivitys/allergies ,how did this food help ? Yes , I have emailed the company but have no idea when they will respond. I thought I might get some faster answers here.. Thank you ... |

| I'm glad you asked this question bc I knew that CC doesn't make their own food. Petsumer Report Review of the Month Hi-Tek makes CC dry food. CC canned does not contain carrageenan anymore, but guar gum instead. Guess what? Evangers makes their canned food! I just picked up a few from the boutique today...will be returning those. I don't trust Evangers...wish CC would make their own food, it's already expensive as it is. I also like that CC is a limited ingredient. It's a raw dried meat flash cooked in a dry kibble. No GMO & hormone free, all USDA grade ingredients. I picked up 2 small bags of Open Sky, they do the best on this kibble. I add canned food as a topper & for dinner they get premade raw. That's the menu for now loll! I have 2 that's yeasty, since CC doesn't have potatoes in it, it totally cleared up the yeast problem. Princess' ears used to get brown gunk in it, now it's clear & it doesn't smell. Best of all, she stopped itching, she would scratch til it bled. CC has never had a recall. They had one for Beaver canned food but it was for a mistake on the label.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I thought it was great food. I loved the ingredients. I got both the lamb and then we tried open sky but Galen had other plans. He really wasn't eating it that well. I changed him to Taste of the Wild and he loves it. . . Crazy pup. I think he loves the big pieces. Even when I first got him he was eating the adult regular sized pieces of CN lamb. Sometimes you never know what goes through those little heads of theirs. Good luck with it.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful.. I am researching a few Brands and CC is one of them.. It is such a headache.. There are not many limited ingredient brands out there.. I will put CC on my short list PS What do you know about Ohio Pet Foods ? You ever heard of Blackwoods ? It is made at OPF... Last edited by WJM; 09-22-2013 at 12:59 AM. | |

| My boy has some pretty bad food allergies and we switched to CC about 3 months ago after California Natural got recalled twice in 6 months. Both my pups are doing great and love it! I had them on Natural Balance LID before but I felt like it made them both poo a lot more than usual. I like it, only problem here is I have to order it online and get a really big bag so I have to put it in containers so it doesn't go bad. I wish more stores sold it. Other than that I have been very happy with it.

| I recently started feeding Natural Balance. I love it. Priscilla does to. Someone posted about it making their dog poop more often and I agree. Priscilla done the same thing. A pet nutritionist at Petco recommended this to me. I started not to get it because of the price. You know that she did? She bought it for me. She stood by the product that much that she knew it would work and i would continue buying it. I went back to the store and told her about it making Priscilla poop more often. She said that she is pooping more because the food was cleaning her out and to wait two weeks. Sure enough two weeks later her pooping schedule went back to normal and her poop has never looked better. The nutritionist also told me that a lot of Yorkies are allergic to grain, I already knew that but i let her continue, she then told me a lot of yorkies are also allergic to chicken!!! I had never heard that in my life. I was also advised to give Priscilla baby carrots and bits of apples as treats because a lot of dog owners don't even think about treats causing allergic reactions. I recommend Natural Balance 5 stars!!! http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/product.aspx?ProductId=109&product=L.I.D.+Limited+ Ingredient+Diets%26reg%3b+Potato+%26+Duck+Small+Br eed+Bites%26reg%3b+Dry+Dog+Formula&ProductCategory ID=8&category=Dog+Dry+Formulas |

| I'm going to try the fish and sweet potato when we run out of our current food. I'm hoping the fish will give her cot extra luster and shine. I'm just facing the old saying if its not broke don't fix it lol |

| I actually called Petco and the main headquarters to brag about the pet nutritionist at my location. She knew every ingredient in Natural Balance without looking. She had an amazing story as well. She had a golden retriver that suffered from bloody diarrhea for 6 years. The acid in diarrhea was causing problems in her dogs bowels. She took him to the vet time and time again only to be sent home with a different brand of food. She had enough when her vet gave her food with chicken by product and she gave him a few choice words and left. She began doing her own research and tried Natural Balance a week into trying it her dog's stool was a normal and no trace of blood. for the first time in 6 years her dog wasn't suffering and pooped normally. This dog was her best friend and might not have lived much longer if it wasn't for this food. |

| I do like the Natural Balance , they did well on it .. My problem is , its super expensive to feed to all 3 dogs . One of which is 80 lbs.. I had to buy a 12 lb bag every 2 weeks @ $42.00 a pop.. I am trying to find a good food that agrees with them all and not cost an arm and a leg.. Not an easy task |

| I've been feeding Peanut Open Sky now for 8/9 months and he has been doing great. Before I started him on CC he was a mess, watery eyes, tummy issues, itchy, hot spots, chewing his leg hair off, etc. Everything is cleared up, in the worst allergy month's he has been great. No need for allergey pills any longer. He has been so healthy too, no vet trips, no tummy issues!!! We love CC. Their office is seriously 5 minutes from me. The times I've delt with them everyone in the office were amazing. They were so nice and helpful and also so nice to Pnut, and gave us free 1 pound samples, buffalo chews and sweet potato chews! Which I gave to Pnut's friend across the street. I would say for a sensitive tummy/ allergy proned doggy Open Sky is the way to go!!
