| New member, getting a Yorkie soon! Hey Everyone! I just registered and figured I would make a post introducing myself. In the next month or two I will be getting my first yorkie. I am extremely excited, and in the process of gathering the supplies I will need. I do have a question that I doubt has an objective answer, but was curious as to everyone's personal experiences. Do you find that male puppies bond better with women and female puppies bond better with men? All of the female animals I have owned bonded much more strongly with my ex than me. Could be a coincidence, but any stories or opinions will help a lot. Thanks! <3 Revlon |

YT 1000 Club Member | Welcome to YT! I've found that my female bulldog is more cuddly and affectionate than my male Yorkie. My Yorkie is more protective of me but can do without the kisses and hugs but if my bulldog or husband are near me getting attention he becomes jealous. Going shopping for supplies is the best!!! |

| Supply shopping is really more fun than clothes shopping When searching for leashes and toys, it is okay if you are having a fat day. lol |

| I have a little girl and she is a total momma's girl. She likes my hubby but she is definitely more attached to me. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Ikr?! Lol a fat day just makes you want to buy more puppy stuff to ease your annoyance with your jeans not cooperating. And of course we can logically explain why our puppy has to have a sparkly rhinestone food bowl with name detail...at least I think it's logical |

| I have a weird living situation where I am rooming with my ex. It isn't what you think, we are best friends and it is all quite agreeable. Most the animals we got when we were a couple bonded a lot more with him. Any tips on how I can encourage my puppy to do so with me? It is going to be mine, not ours this time. |

YT 1000 Club Member | In most cases a dog picks who his/her favorite person is...but I would encourage that by being the sole or main person who feeds, gives treats, plays, etc with him or her. |

| I agree with this 100%. When we got our Piper we got her for me so I was the one that took her potty, fed her, cuddled her, etc. Hubby doesn't like that she is so attached to only me but he admits that she is my dog. |
