Introducing Aurora We added Aurora to our family this past Sunday. If you remember, we lost Lola recently to parvo, but thanks to the advice from some members on this forum, we used Virkon and anything that bleach left behind, Virkon would have gotten, so thanks so much for that. I had never heard of Virkon before but am so glad you pointed me in the right direction. Aurora (Officially she's Princess Aurora, aka Sleeping Beauty. lol) is a pistol! She's got such an amazing personality. I work at home and get an hour lunch every day -- it is literally spent with all of us sitting around the living room watching Aurora play. The only problem is my Dallas. He's also a yorkie, and he's about a year and a half old. He absolutely hates Aurora. He won't have anything to do with her and seemed mad at all of us for bringing her home. She runs after him and tries to play but he runs into the dining room (Aurora doesn't usually follow him into the dining room, she doesn't like the tile) and hides. I've googled it and I guess that's a pretty common problem with yorkies, so hopefully after some time he'll come to accept her. He has improved in the last day so I'm optimistic. Anyway, it's been a while since I added pics on a forum but hopefully I'll remember how to do it and you'll see some pics attached below. lol (If it doesn't work I'll keep trying.) Anna

Ahhh, it worked! It was easier than I remembered it being. lol In the first picture, she's watching mommy work. She loves sitting there and watching the screen. In the 2nd one, she's snug in a carrier. I hate that carrier though, total waste of money. :-/ And then she's in her playpen (daddy calls it her castle). She doesn't care for her playpen though and would much rather be on mommy's lap. Anna

Congrats...she sure! is a cute little princess! Dallas probably needs a little bit of time to adjust...I am sure he's used to being the center or attention and now he's got to share the spotlight and attention with Aurora. I am looking forward seeing a pic of them cuddling or playing together in the near future!!

| congrats she is beautiful and your dallas will adjust...it took lola two months to even start to warm up to keylo. just give him time and let him go at his pace of acceptance. be sure to keep him first for everything..grooming feeding, treats...etc. this really helped me and to this day i still do this.

It just takes time... First, Aurora is beautiful! Congrats! I, too, just added a baby girl to our yorkie family. I have Phoebe, who is 7, Cassidy who is 5, and Blossom, who is almost 3. We've had Eliza (officially her registered name will have My Fair Lady, so her call name is Eliza Doolittle!lol) for about 3 weeks now. Phoebe sniffs her but gritches at her alot if she tries to play... I just let them deal with it, because Phoebe has experience puppies alot and knows how to get after them without actually getting mad. Cassidy is very standoffish, but she is so mild mannered the puppy doesn't even try to play with her... If she bounces around her, Cassidy just stands there waiting... Blossom and Eliza go round and round... At first Blossom was afraid of the puppy.... She has been the baby here for a couple years mind you... But now they wrestle and play till Eliza gets too rambunctious and pulls Blossoms hair too hard (and I intervene as I've had pups pull out chunks of my older girls' hair and she has a bald spot) Mostly it just takes time... Let your boy figure it out...and give him lots of extra lovin's.... I'm excited for you! and also, so sorry for your loss... deb
