| My dog is obsessed.... literally. Every since Charlie caught and killed those mice that night, he's been obsessed with finding more to the point that he stares at the refrigerator. He stares at and gets behind the washer and dryer and we have to forcibly get him out from behind it. He was barking at the water heater today. But there are no more mice. I know that is what he wants to find, because it's the same way he acted when he found those other mice. I took him to my sisters house and he started looking around her appliances and furniture the same way. It's kind of funny but it worries me when he sits behind the dryer. Like tonight I couldn't find him. I almost had a heart attack. We finally found him behind the dryer just sitting there. not a sleep, but just looking like he was waiting. He was probably behind the dryer for thirty minutes I bet when we found him. I really hope he gets over it! lol Should I be concerned. ? |

| Sounds like Charlie is a true Yorkshire Terrier! Yay Charlie! Maybe you can hide some treats back there so he has something to to find.

| Oh I"m sorry, I have to laugh a little bit. He may not get over it ever, or at least until he does not see them for a LONG time! I laugh bc my Fletcher hunts our pool. He knows frogs sometimes live in it. This happened about 5 years ago, but he still hunts the pool and patrols it, even if he hasn't caught anything in months, but then every once in awhile he'll get a frog (or last week a mouse) and the hunt and patrol is on obsessively for months again. I'm sorry its IN your house though. AT least when they are in, they are not hunting and patrolling. I hope he does get over it soon though! Love his little furry butt!

| I put something on here last week about Fletch catching a mouse and a frog and got 1 response I think. LOL I don't think people were amused. He is a true Terrier, Charlie too! Its ok! I was proud of my boy, but did feel bad for the frog & mouse.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | How funny! Isn't it amazing that the retain those instincts they were bred for after so many years? If you substitute "tennis ball" for "mice" you would be describing my Rhett.

| It's funny yes. I wish I got a picture of him behind the washer. I'm sure I'll have another chance to snap one. He's still on a mice mission. |

| Although it may be upsetting for you at times...he is doing what comes naturally to him. I saw a show once where a farmer had a lot of mice in his barn. He let three Yorkies in there, and they took care of everything so fast. I don't like watching things like that, but I was amazed how quickly the Yorkies killed the mice. Ugh!

| I have one that does the same thing, she is obsessed. Both of mine also hunt lizards outside. They funny thing is that I also have a cat inside and he wouldn't hunt one at all.
